Barney joined ThompsonBaker Agency in 2024 as a Personal Lines Account Executive specializing in High Net-Worth clients and high-value properties throughout Florida. He grew up in Charlotte, NC graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a Marketing concentration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He moved to Florida in 2004 where he purchased his first insurance agency, acquiring five more during the next twenty years in property and casualty agency ownership in Florida.
He has over 30 years of professional experience in both the life/health/financial and property and casualty industries. Barney retains both the 215 Life Health Annuity and 220 General Lines Property and Casualty licenses. In addition to over 20 years of experience, he brings a unique client-centered advisory and fiduciary approach to assisting agency customers in managing the risks most important to them.
Barney has two adult children both residing in the Jacksonville area and a new grandchild McKenzie. When he is not working, Barney enjoys cooking, traveling, high intensity interval training, cycline, pickleball and listening to live music.
